Create Planar Surface

Use it!

Used to create a planar B-spline surface with defined U and V order.

Tool SettingEffect
U Number of Poles

Defines the number of poles in the U direction for the B-spline surface.

V Number of Poles

Defines the number of poles in the V direction for the B-spline surface.

Lock icon

If on (locked), the U and V Number of Poles values are locked to the same value. In this case, changing the value of either U or V Number of Poles setting, results in the same change being made to the remaining setting.

If off (unlocked), the U and V Number of Poles values can be different.

Display Control Polygon

If on, the display polygon for the surface is displayed.

To create a planar B-spline surface
  1. Select the Create Planar Surface tool.

  2. Adjust the U and V Number of Poles settings as required.

  3. (Optional) Turn on Display Control Polygon.

  4. Enter a data point to define the first corner of the surface.

  5. Enter a second data point to define the diagonally opposite corner of the surface.
