(3D only) Used to extend a surface (cone, extruded surface, surface of revolution, or B-spline surface) along one of its edges.

| Tool Setting | Effect |

| Tangential | If on, extension is tangent continuous at the joint of extension. |
| By Angle | If on, extension is at an angle specified in the Angle field. |
| Distance | Sets the distance of the extension. |
| Angle | (By Angle on only) Sets the angle at which the extension is made. An angle of 0° creates a tangential extension. |
| Make Copy | The original surface is retained. |
