Active Cells

Contains buttons that are used to designate the cell selected in the List box as the Active Cell, Active Point, Active Line Terminator, or Active Pattern Cell.

Placement

Makes the selected cell the Active Cell, which is placed in the design with the Place Active Cell tool in the Cells tool box.

To the right of the Placement button, the name of the Active Cell is shown. If there is no active cell, the area is blank.

Point

Makes the selected cell the Active Point, which is placed with any of the tools in the Points tool box.

The identity of the Active Point is shown to the right of the Point button. The Active Point does not need to be a cell. It can also be a zero-length line or a text character or symbol.

Character

Symb (<character>)

A character (or symbol if the Active Font is a symbol font).

Cell

Cell's name

The cell, which is called the “Active Point Cell.”

Key-in: ACTIVE POINT <name>

The Active Point is also a tool setting for tools in the Points tool box. The Active Point is also a tool setting for the Place Active Point tool.

Terminator

Makes the selected cell the Active Line Terminator, which is placed in the design with the Place Active Line Terminator in the Cells tool box.

The name of the Active Line Terminator is shown to the right of the Terminator button. If there is no Active Line Terminator, “NONE” appears in this spot.

Key-in: ACTIVE TERMINATOR <name>


or

Key-in: LT= <name>

The Active Line Terminator is also a tool setting for the Place Active Line Terminator tool.

Pattern

Makes the selected cell the Active Pattern Cell, which is tiled to pattern an area with the Pattern Area.

The name of the Active Pattern Cell is shown to the right of the Pattern button. If there is no Active Pattern Cell, the area is blank.

The Active Pattern Cell is also a tool setting for the Pattern Area tool.
