Terminators

Consists of controls that are used to set the appearance and geometry of the default dimension terminators.

Terminators category controls

Geometry measurements are based on the text size. For example, if the height is set at 0.25 and the width is set at 0.5, then the terminator size would be 0.25 of the text height and 0.5 of the text width. When Uniform Cell Scale in the Terminator Symbols category is turned on, the terminator size would be a scale factor of 0.25 for a shared cell.

Custom dimension terminators can be specified using the controls in the Terminator Symbols category.

Terminators

Controls the relative positions of extension lines and terminators for linear dimensions.

When terminators are outside the extension lines, the leader length is set with Min(imum) Leader field in the Extension Lines category.

Arrowhead

Sets the appearance of the arrowhead terminator — Open, Closed, or Filled. The Arrow control in the Terminator Symbols category can be used to specify an alternate arrowhead for a particular dimensioning tool.

Width

Sets the terminator width, in text height units.

When the Uniform Cell Scale control is on (Terminator Symbols category), the Width value uniformly scales the cell terminator width and height, in text height units.

Height

Sets the terminator height, in text height units.

Min. Leader

Sets the space in text height units, between extension lines and dimension text.

Attributes

Contains controls that can be used to override the Dimension Lines attribute settings and the active settings for color, line style, and line weight for dimension terminators. The controls are analogous to those in the Dimension Lines category.
